WELCOME
Hello Families,
Welcome to my third grade website! On my site you should be able to find everything you need so you know what is happening in room 32!
I love teaching and I especially adore teaching third graders! Third grade is an awesome year! I call it a power grade. There are so many milestones that happen right before our eyes this year. In third grade, your child will learn how to read critically. Reading is thinking! They will be challenged to extend their thinking in all subject areas, as well. Your child will begin the process of "reading to learn." That may not have been the case in previous years, where they were mostly "learning to read." Expectations and responsibilities will increase as well as I promote self advocating. You will be amazed with the growth by the end of the year!
A little about me: I live in Exton, with my husband JB, our three children, and a few pets. Our daughter is 16, our son is 6 and our youngest son is 4. Toddlers and teens my oh my! Laila, the oldest, attends Henderson High School while Julius is a proud MCH student and Jackson attends Whiteland Montessori School. We also have a boxer named Bailey and a cat named Jaspurr.
I love the busy family life! It suites me well. In my free time, I love to exercise, play sports, go outside, swim, scrapbook, read, and spend time with my family. I am a beach bum at heart and so far all three of our children are the same way!
I am honored to have the opportunity to work with your child this year! Our partnership will be the key to your child's successful third grade year!
